Each mobile data destruction vehicle provides the ultimate in secure on-site data destruction and disposal of obsolete hard drives and other magnetic media. Each on-site data destruction vehicle is equipped with everything needed to destroy hard drives of all sizes quickly, easily and meeting the highest security requirements. Each on-site data destruction vehicle is equipped with a unique self-contained hard drive shredder which literally shreds hard disks into non re-constructible fragments, completely eliminating the possibility of data compromise or recovery. The hard drive shear shredder’s dual shaft rotor, low speed, low inertia and high torque features allow for continuous physical destruction of up to 60 hard drives per hour while generating minimal noise, dust and/or vibration. The continuous shear shredding of hard drives is accomplished as the hard disks are pulled through the interfaces between the counter-rotating square edge bladed shear shafts. The hard drive shear shredder is also ideal for hand held electronic devices and other storage media including computer backup tapes.

Each on-site data destruction vehicle is also equipped with an approved NSA/CSS 04-02 EPL Optical Media Shredder. These optical media shredders are specifically designed for the physical destruction of CD/DVD media as well as credit cards and ID badges. The optical media shredder is capable of shredding up to 350 pieces per hour into sizes of 2.2mm x 4mm.

The Vet-Tec On-Site Degaussing and Physical Destruction Vehicle enables the secure destruction of sensitive data stored on hard drives, optical media (i.e. CDs, DVDs), backup tapes, hand held electronic devices, and other storage media.

With the hard drive shear shredder and optical media shredder coupled with the hard drive degausser and magnetic tape media degausser the Vet-Tec On-Site Degaussing and Physical Destruction Vehicle eliminates any need to lose control of media by sending it to outside physical destruction centers. The Vet-Tec On-Site Degaussing and Physical Destruction Vehicle components meet the strict requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-02, High Security Disintegrators and NSA/CSS 04-02, and Optical Media Destruction Devices (includes HIPAA compliance). We follow the guidelines set out in ISO-17799:2005 and the principles defined by it.
